Samizdat: The Czech Art of Resistance, 1968 to 1989 is an exhibition of banned books, forbidden films, underground music and oppositional art, celebrating creative resistance to totalitarianism. It ran from Nov. 9 2011 to Jan. 12, 2012, at the Czech Center Gallery, New York City, Bohemian National Hall. Upcoming: the exhibition will open in Washington DC at the Embassy of the Czech Republic on May 15, 2012.
